UPRERA pays more than Rs 73.84 lakh in interest to around 430 complaints

Lucknow, Sep 21(UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has paid interest earned on the money of complainants that remained pending in the bank after the recovery of money through Recovery Certificates (RCs) in complaints related to real estate projects. In complaints filed before UP RERA, Recovery Certificates (RCs) are issued against the promoters or builders concerned after the Authority passes an order. These RCs are recovered through the Revenue Department. After recovery, the money is kept available in the bank for payment to the concerned complainants.
