Outstanding UP Gram Panchayats will receive prize of Rs 50 lakh

Lucknow, Sep 9 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Department has instituted the "Chief Minister's Special Award" for the first time to encourage the holistic and sustainable development of Gram Panchayats in the state. Ten Gram Panchayats that have achieved outstanding work in various areas, in keeping with the spirit of Gram Panchayat development, will be honoured with this award.
