Drug purchase and sale prices in UP to become public in retail shops and hospital pharmacies from Nov 1

Lucknow, Oct 6 (UNI) In a move towards providing patients with more transparent information on drug prices, the Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttar Pradesh, has directed all retail pharmacies to set up a public website and publish essential pharmacy-related information on it. Meanwhile, pharmacies operating within hospital premises have been directed, in the interest of patients, to display a price list based on the purchase rate and sale rate of drugs.
