UP outperforms national average in stopping cyber fraud funds

Lucknow, Oct 2(UNI) Uttar Pradesh is strengthening police action against cyber fraud through technology. The state's rate of freezing funds involved in cyber fraud stood at 34 per cent, higher than the national average of 31 per cent in September, officials said. Through the Cyber Fraud Mitigation Centre, officials are freezing and recovering diverted funds through real-time routing. In several cases, recovery of up to 100 per cent has been recorded within the stipulated time limit.
