Haryana sets up state panel to monitor crop insurance outreach, use of funds

Panchkula, Sep 25 (UNI) The Haryana government has set up a state committee to watch over efforts to raise awareness about crop insurance and to make sure funds from insurance companies are used openly and responsibly, according to a notification. The State-Level Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Advisory Committee will supervise activities under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), the Restructured Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS), and other crop insurance programs.
