Haryana revamps colony licensing rules, proposes strict green norms

Panchkula, Sep 29 (UNI) The Haryana government has proposed tighter rules for providing licenses to residential colonies, including stricter scrutiny of applications and mandatory solar power, water recycling , sewage treatement and waste-management facilities for low-density eco-friendly projects. The Town and Country Planning Department, in an extraordinary Gazette notification, published the draft Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas (Amendment) Rules, 2026, proposing amendments to the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Rules, 1976.
