Gurugram Police crack down on illegal firecracker trade ahead of Diwali

Gurugram, Nov 7 (UNI) In a major crackdown on the illegal firecracker trade ahead of Diwali, Gurugram Police registered 73 FIRs under the Explosives Act and apprehended 60 accused during a two-day special drive on November 5 and 6. The crackdown, aimed at curbing the unauthorised sale, storage and distribution of explosive and inflammable firecrackers, covered all four police zones of the district. Police teams also recovered various categories of firecrackers allegedly stored for illegal sale without valid licences or permits.
