CBDT extends date under Income-tax Rules for valuers, tax practitioners to March 31, 2027

New Delhi, Sept 18 (UNI) The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the date specified under the Income-tax Rules, 2026, from September 30, 2026 to March 31, 2027 in provisions relating to registration of valuers and authorised income-tax practitioners, while also replacing the prescribed application forms for both categories. The changes have been notified by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue through the Income-tax (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2026, issued on September 17 under G.S.R. 822(E).
