No rift in Shiv Sena (Thackeray)–MNS alliance, says Sanjay Raut

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) Senior leader of the Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction), Sanjay Raut, has asserted that the alliance between Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray remains strong and unshaken. He stated that no amount of speculation or behind-the-scenes discussions could create a rift between the two parties.
Raut's remarks came amid political controversy following developments in Chandrapur, where corporators from the Shiv Sena (UBT) allegedly defied party directives and supported a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for the mayor's post. The incident triggered criticism from the MNS, especially after its corporators in Kalyan-Dombivli faced backlash for extending support to the BJP.
MNS General Secretary Sandeep Deshpande alleged that Shiv Sena corporators received ₹1 crore each in exchange for supporting the BJP. In response, Shiv Sena leaders challenged Deshpande to present evidence.
