No final berth for Chithravel, Aboobacker in Olympic triple jump

Paris, Aug 7 (UNI) Indian athletes, Pravin Chithravel and Abdulla Aboobacker, were unable to advance to the final in the Men’s triple jump qualification round at the Paris 2024 Olympics here on Wednesday.
Chithravel, competing in Group A, managed a best jump of 16.25 metres on his second attempt. Despite his efforts, he finished 12th in his group and ranked 27th overall in the qualification standings.
In Group B, Aboobacker achieved a best mark of 16.49 mtr on his third attempt, placing him 13th in his group and 21st overall.
