NMDC unveils state-of-the-Art R&D facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) India’s largest iron ore producer, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), unveiled its new state-of-the-art Research and Development (R&D) Center in Patancheru, Hyderabad, on Tuesday, aimed at advancing innovation in mineral processing and sustainable steel technology.
The Navratna company has invested over Rs 150 crores in research and development over the past five years, with Rs 50 crores allocated to building the new R&D Centre, a company statement said.
NMDC Chairman and Managing Director Amitava Mukherjee who inaugurated the cutting-edge facility spanning eight acres stated, “Embracing our responsibility to innovate and lead the Indian Mining Industry towards a sustainable future through research and development, we open the doors to NMDC’s new state-of-the-art R&D Center. As we stride forward to innovate and inspire, we are not just investing in research here, we are investing in India’s future.”
