Nitish Rabri confrontation in Upper House on law and order issue

Patna, Mar 20 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD MLC Rabri Devi, had a heated exchange on the issue of crime and law and order in the upper house.
Raising the issue of crime and law and order the RJD MLCs accused the Bihar government of failing to control the crime and trooped to the well during the pre-lunch sitting in the state legislative council shouting slogans against the government. The former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD MLC Rabri Devi was also shouting slogans against the government which led to the heated exchange between the opposition and the treasury bench.
Amid the confrontation, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar assured the house of a strict investigation into any criminal incident. The opposition however, continued the ruckus following which Kumar reminded Rabri Devi of her regime and the Lalu era.

Police evacuate stranded tourists after mud-slides block roads in North Sikkim

Gangtok, Apr 25 (UNI) Over 1400 stranded tourists, mostly from West Bengal, were on Thursday evacuated after they got stuck following heavy mudslides and rockfall, triggered by downpour in North Sikkim's upper region of Lachen and lachung, about 110 km from Gangtok, official sources said.
