Nitish lists performance of his government, seeks support for by-elections

Patna, Nov 10 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday listed achievements of his government seeking support for party candidates in ongoing assembly by-elections in the state.
Kumar while addressing a public meeting in Belaganj in favour of his party JD(U) candidate Manorama Devi for assembly by-elections, said that his government had made sustained efforts to improve the scenario in all sectors, since coming to power in 2005. Law and order in Bihar had deteriorated to an abysmal low during RJD regime from 1990 to 2005 but it improved considerably after his government was voted to power in the state, he pointed out.
" No one used to come out from his house after sunset during RJD regime due to fear of being kidnapped or attacked by criminals", Chief Minister said adding that people were feeling safe and secured during his regime. Rule of law had been enforced in Bihar, making it convenient for the people to lead a peaceful and decent life, he asserted.
Kumar said that the education system and health infrastructure had also collapsed in Bihar during the RJD regime. Proper school and college buildings were not available and neither teachers were appointed in sufficient number, affecting teaching activities adversely, he added.
Chief Minister said the same was the condition in the health sector as no treatment facility was available in government Hospitals. Following sustained efforts of his government, the number of patients seeking treatment in government hospitals had increased, he stated.
Kumar said that Hindus and Muslims were living in complete harmony but
during the RJD regime, there were several cases of communal violence erupting from time to time. His government had been taking together all sections of the society on the path of development, he added.

However, the parliamentary party only works for the Parliament session. They cannot make policy decisions. No request came to us. If the request comes to us, of course, we can consider it.
