Nitish Kumar directs officials to speed up welfare schemes in Bihar

Begusarai, March 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed officials to implement government schemes with sensitivity so that Bihar can be included among the most developed states in the country.
The Chief Minister reviewed development and welfare schemes related to the Begusarai district during the Samriddhi Yatra. He also sought information from officials about the implementation of various schemes announced during the Pragati Yatra.
During the review meeting, Begusarai District Magistrate Srikant Shastri gave a detailed presentation to the Chief Minister on the progress of schemes related to the Pragati Yatra as well as those under Saat Nischay-2 and Saat Nischay-3. He also informed the Chief Minister about other development works being carried out in the district.

Meghalaya cabinet recognises Khasi and Garo as official languages

Shillong, Apr 16 (UNI) Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday said that the State Cabinet has approved the Meghalaya Official Languages Ordinance, 2026, recognising Khasi and Garo as official languages alongside English, and has decided to repeal the Meghalaya State Language Act, 2005.
