Nitish greets journalists on National Press Day

Patna, Nov. 16 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday extended his warm greetings to the journalists and media professionals on the occasion of national press day
In his message to the media share on X, Kumar said that the occasion commemorates the establishment of the Press Council of India, the apex body responsible for preserving the freedom of the press and maintaining standards in media.
Highlighting the significance of the day, he said that it represents India's long-standing tradition of free, fair and responsible journalism.

Cal High Court orders stakeholders to resolve logjams on Kolkata Metro stretch

Kolkata, Dec 12 (UNI) Expressing its disappointment over delay in executing the work for completing a 366-meters stretch of Kolkata Metro at Chingrighata in the eastern part of the city, Calcutta High Court has directed the West Bengal government, the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and other stakeholders to hold a meeting on December 17 and decide on when work on the unfinished part is to be taken up.
