NIA court asks prosecution to reply to sacked encounter specialist discharge plea

Mumbai March 11 (UNI) A Special NIA court directed the prosecution to file a reply on March 13 on a discharge plea moved by dismissed encounter specialist police officer Sachin Waze seeking discharge in the Antilia bomb scare case and the subsequent murder of Thane trader Mansukh Hiran.
Waze in his plea claimed that the prosecution case is based only on wild allegations without admissible evidence and cited several flaws in the investigation.
In his plea, running into more than 150 pages, Waze questioned the prosecution case from the receipt of the alleged threat note to the alleged murder of Hiran.
