New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Tuesday sought a report from the Jharkhand Government regarding the reported incident where a woman in labour was left lying on the floor without treatment for 27 hours at Jamshedpur MGM Hospital, resulting in the death of her baby in the womb.
In a notice to the Chief Secretary, the commission requested a detailed report on the matter within two weeks.
The report to include the status of the health of the victim woman and the availability of beds as well as other facilities in the government hospitals, the NHRC said.
