Japan to release nearly 55,000 metric tonnes of Fukushima NPP water starting spring

Tokyo, Jan 25 (UNI) The operator of Japan's Fukushima nuclear power plant, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), is planning to release around 54,600 metric tonnes more of treated water from the facility in the 2024 financial year, which will run from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, Japanese news agency Kyodo reported on Thursday.
