US approves 2nd drug to slow progression of Alzheimer's disease - FDA

Washington, July 3 (UNI) The United States has approved the second drug with a clinically proven ability to slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced.
Last July, the regulator said it had approved the first such medicine.
"Today, the FDA approved Kisunla (donanemab-azbt) injection for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease," the regulator said in a statement on Tuesday.
