Pentagon confirms new US strike on ‘Narco-Trafficking vessel’ in Caribbean

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) The United States has carried out another strike on a ship in the Caribbean, killing at least three men on board, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said. In a post on X late Saturday, Hegseth said the attack was ordered by President Donald Trump and targeted a vessel “known by our intelligence to be involved in illicit narcotics smuggling.”
“Today, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike on another narco-trafficking vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) in the Caribbean,” Hegseth wrote.
He added that the three men aboard the vessel were “male narco-terrorists” and were killed in the strike, which took place in international waters. “No U.S. forces were harmed,” he said. “These narco-terrorists are bringing drugs to our shores to poison Americans at home—and they will not succeed. The Department will treat them EXACTLY how we treated Al-Qaeda. We will continue to track them, map them, hunt them, and kill them,” Hegseth said.
