Pakistan DG ISPR, Information Minister to brief political parties in light of hostile relations with India

Islamabad, May 4 (UNI) Amid escalating tensions with India following the Pahalgam terror attack, Director General of Pakistan's military media wing Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, and Information- Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar are to brief political parties regarding the country's national security.
According to Duniya News, the briefing to the top leaders of political parties, would be regarding the current national security situation between Pakistan and India and its possible implications.
The briefing will address the defence readiness of the armed forces, diplomatic measures which have been taken so far and the state stance on issues of outstanding importance.
Both the DG Inter-Services-Public-Relations and the Information and Broadcasting Minister have been involved in spreading fake news against India, with the DG ISPR calling the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack “a false flag operation”, and falsely accusing India of perpetrating the deadly attack in which 26 tourists were killed by Pakistan-linked terrorists.
In addition, the DG had repeated Islamabad’s tired old rhetoric of New Delhi’s hand in supporting terrorism in Pakistan’s Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, both of which have seen a strong surge in militant attacks against the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The country’s Information Minister had also made baseless claims that he had "credible intelligence reports" about India’s imminent attack on Pakistan within a span of 24-36 hours.
Since India’s retaliatory moves against the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which includes shutting down the only land border in Attari, suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, and shutting down all trading links and routes for Islamabad, Pakistan has gone into panic mode and has indulged in all kinds of baseless propaganda, and reckless provocatory actions.
These include the testing of the Abdali missile, amping up its naval exercises in the Arabian Sea, cross-firing at the LOC, and repeatedly issuing threats of nuclear attack, with India paying very little heed to them.
