US imposes 25 percent tariffs on countries trading with Iran

Washington, Jan 13 (UNI) United States President Donald Trump on Monday announced the imposition of 25 percent tariffs on countries that continue to do business with Iran, as anti-government protests persist across the country.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump reiterated that the decision would take effect “immediately” and emphasised that the “order is final and conclusive.”
“Effective immediately, any Country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a Tariff of 25% on any and all business being done with the United States of America. This Order is final and conclusive,” Trump said in his post.
