Russia, Venezuela sign 19 cooperation agreements

Moscow, Nov 28 (SPUTNIK/UNI) The Russian and Venezuelan delegations have signed the final act of the high-level intergovernmental Russian-Venezuelan commission meeting, along with 15 cooperation agreements and three additional accords covering education, research, youth policy, oil production, peaceful atomic energy, and other areas, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
The signing ceremony was held via videoconference, with Russia’s delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, and Venezuela’s delegation headed by Executive Vice President and Minister of People’s Power of Hydrocarbons Delcy Rodriguez.
Among the documents signed were the final act of the 19th meeting of the commission, a protocol of intent between the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom and Venezuela’s Ministry of Science and Technology on peaceful atomic energy cooperation, and a memorandum between the Russian manufacturing company Welltechs and the Venezuelan state-owned oil and natural gas company Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. on artificial nitrogen-based oil production technologies.
