ICC confirms issuance of arrest warrant for former Philippine President Duterte

Manila, Mar 11 (UNI) The International Criminal Court (ICC) said on Tuesday that that it had issued an arrest warrant for former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on charges of crimes against humanity.
Earlier in the day, the country's presidential office said that Duterte had been detained at Manila airport "for crimes against humanity" on an ICC warrant.
The ICC will schedule a preliminary hearing for Duterte once he is in custody in The Hague, the court added.
