Pak reports 12th polio case of 2024

Islamabad, Aug 4 (UNI) Pakistan on Saturday reported the 12th polio case of 2024 after a child was diagnosed as having been affected by the poliovirus.
The infected child belongs to the Chakwal district of eastern Punjab province, the Pakistani Health Ministry said in a late-night statement.
This was the first case of the year so far from Punjab, which is the most developed and largest province, in terms of population, of the South Asian country, it added.
