French Lawmakers reject no confidence vote in govt of new PM

Paris, Oct 8 (UNI) Deputies of the French National Assembly rejected a no confidence vote in the government of new Prime Minister Michel Barnier, put forward by the left-wing New Popular Front bloc, the results of the vote showed on Tuesday.
A total of 197 lawmakers voted for a confidence vote out of the required 289. This was the first vote of confidence in the new government.
