China to suspend 24 pc tariff on US goods from Nov 10

Beijing, Nov 5 (UNI) China will suspend the additional 24 percent tariff on US goods for one year starting November 10, in line with the agreements reached during the recent trade talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump, the Chinese Finance Ministry said today.
"To implement the consensus reached during China-US trade consultations, and in accordance with the Tariff Law, the Customs Law, the Foreign Trade Law, and other relevant laws and regulations, as well as the basic principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, from 13:01 on November 10, 2025, the additional customs tariffs of 24 percent on US goods will be suspended for one year. The additional duty of 10 percent on US goods will remain in place," the statement read.
The ministry added that continuing the suspension would help ensure the healthy, stable and sustainable development of trade and economic relations between the two nations, benefit both people and contribute to global prosperity.
