Police discover 12 anti-personnel mines in E. Afghanistan

Charikar, Afghanistan, Mar 2 (UNI) Police have discovered a dozen anti-personnel mines and some ammunition in eastern Afghanistan's Parwan province, said a statement from provincial police on Sunday.
The anti-personnel mines and some unexploded devices, left over from the past wars, were discovered in the Rubat area outside the provincial capital Charikar City on Saturday and shifted to the police department, the statement said.
Without providing more details, the statement asked the people to inform the police if they saw any suspected objects.
