Costa Rica, Israel sign Free Trade Agreement: Foreign Trade Ministry

Costa Rica, Dec 9 (UNI/SPUTNIK) Costa Rica and Israel signed a free trade agreement, completing the negotiation process begun in March 2023, the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Trade said.
"The signing of this agreement not only opens the door to expanded exports, but also represents a strategic opportunity to position Costa Rica as a competitive supplier in the high-tech, high-quality agro-industry, and specialised services sectors," Costa Rican Foreign Trade Minister Manuel Tovar said at the signing ceremony on Monday.
Costa Rica noted that the agreement, which marked a "strategic milestone" in bilateral relations, will strengthen Costa Rica's presence in the Middle East market.
