UK: More than 100 arrests as disorder erupts following Southport incident

London, Aug 1 (UNI) Over 100 people have been arrested across U.K following violence triggered by the knife attack in Southport, media reports said Thursday.
As police battled with demonstrators on Whitehall during a demonstration on Wednesday night, over a hundred people were taken into custody in central London, as per BBC reports.
There was also unrest in Hartlepool, when a police car was set on fire, and several cops were hurt. Eight people were arrested.
