12 killed, 15 injured in pilgrim bus accident in Pak's Sindh

Islamabad, Feb. 15 (UNI) Twelve people were killed and 15 others injured when the bus carrying the pilgrims overturned in Pakistan's southern Sindh province on Saturday, police sources said.
The accident happened on the National Highway in Khairpur district of the province when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding.
The passengers were traveling from the eastern Punjab province to Sehwan city for a religious festival at a shrine, the sources from the district told Xinhua.
The injured, including women and children, have been shifted to a nearby hospital, with several of them in critical condition, the sources said.
Road accidents frequently happen in Pakistan due to poorly maintained roads, violation of road safety rules, and reckless driving.
