Identity Shield Summit 2026 sparks national dialogue on AI-powered identity security in Pune

Pune, Jan 18 (UNI) The Identity Shield Summit 2026, India's premier platform focused on AI-powered identity security, witnessed high-impact deliberations on its opening day in Pune, setting the stage for a robust national dialogue on the future of cybersecurity. Organized by miniOrange, the two-day summit concludes on Saturday bringing together cybersecurity leaders, policymakers, defense officials, industry practitioners, and technology innovators from across India.
The summit opened with a strategic emphasis on reducing India's dependence on foreign cybersecurity solutions while accelerating indigenous innovation. Discussions on the first day revolved around critical themes such as Zero Trust frameworks, Identity and Access Management (IAM), digital trust architectures, AI-driven cyber threats, post-quantum cryptography, and real-world cyber defense strategies.
Calling for a paradigm shift in India's cybersecurity journey, Anirban Mukherjee, Founder and CEO of miniOrange, said India must move beyond being a service provider to emerge as a global producer of cybersecurity solutions. We need a 'Cybersena' movement to bridge the gap of nearly two million skilled cybersecurity professionals, he said. Highlighting miniOrange's self-sustained growth, Mukherjee noted that the company has invested over USD 65 million over the past 14 years without external funding to build globally competitive cybersecurity products.
