Nana Patole slams Maha Govt after HC flags Pune land deal

Nagpur, Dec 11 (UNI) Senior Congress leader Nana Patole on Thursday alleged that the Maharashtra government has repeatedly shielded individuals involved in corruption, including Parth Pawar, the son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
Patole was addressing the media at the Vidhan Bhavan premises during the ongoing Winter Session when he was asked about the Bombay High Court’s observations related to the controversial Pune land transaction. He said the state administration has shown several instances of to shield those facing corruption allegations.
Citing an example, he said that a Mumbai Assistant Municipal Commissioner accused of corruption during the COVID-19 pandemic had merely been sent on a compulsory month-long leave instead of being dismissed. The government is protecting such officials and even Parth Pawar,” he added.
