Leopards seen on Ashti road, causing alarm among locals, villagers urge forest department for immediate intervention and caution

Beed(Maharashtra), Dec 11 (UNI) Panic has gripped villagers and travellers in Beed district after three leopards were sighted roaming on the Doithan-Ashti road late on Tuesday night. A traveller passing through the area recorded a video of the leopards near a bridge close to Kinhi village, and the footage has since gone viral on social media, intensifying fear among local residents.
According to witnesses, the three big cats were seen moving together before disappearing into nearby fields. The traveller who filmed the incident stated that he was terrified but managed to record the movement of the leopards from a safe distance.
The sighting has caused serious concern in the region, which is still reeling from a fatal leopard attack just two months ago. On October 13, 36-year-old farmer Rajendra Vishwanath Golhar was killed by a leopard while working in his field in Bavi village. The memory of that incident remains fresh, and the latest sighting has renewed anxiety among local communities.
