Maha: Indian Nevy orders shoot at sight orders in fishing zone of Ratnagiri

Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, May 10 (UNI) In the backdrop of tense situation prevailing in the country due to ongoing skirmishes between India and Pakistan, the Indian Navy on Saturday issued a shoot-at-sight order if any vessel is found in the offshore defence area following prohibition of fishing in that area.
Following a joint meeting of Indian Navy and state Fishing department, the Navy has declared MH/BASSEIN 18°31'45N, 072°09'40E. 18°32′04N, 071°09'08E. 19°46′49N, 072°11'27E. 19°46′42N, 072°11'36E. NEELAM 18°49'11N, 072°10'00E.18°49'23N, 072°25'01E. 18°09'59N, 072°25'13E. 18°10'12N, 072°10'00E, as fishing prohibition area and declared that no fishing boats will go to the above location for fishing or any other purpose.
Orders have been given to Navy department to shoot to kill on sight if any boat is found in the above areas.
