Maha: IAC chief appeals Thackeray cousins to come together with BJP on issue of Hindutva

Kolhapur, June 18 (UNI) India Against Corruption (IAC) national president and OBC leader, Hemant Patil, on Wednesday made an appeal to estranged cousins -- MNS president Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray -- to come together on the issue of Hindutva and form an alliance with BJP in upcoming local body elections.
In a press release issued here, he expressed that "this is the right time to unite the voices of the Maharashtrian and Hindutva people again. Both Raj and Uddhav Thackeray are leaders born from the ideology of undivided Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray. It is the need of the hour for both of them to forget their differences and come together."
Patil said that MNS, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena and BJP should contest the municipal elections together to create a strong political alternative for Hindutva in the state, which will give a new direction to the state's politics, he added.
