PM Modi and Amit Shah trying to control judiciary and constitutional bodies: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai/ New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of attempting to take control of the country’s judiciary and all other constitutional institutions.
Raut expressed strong objection to the appointment of former BJP spokesperson Aarti Sathe as a judge of the Bombay High Court. He clarified that he has no personal grudge against anyone, but criticized the appointment, stating, appointing someone who defended Modi and Shah’s wrong policies as a BJP spokesperson tarnishes the glorious tradition of the Bombay High Court.
Mr Raut who is in Delhi today further alleged that there are five to six judges in the Bombay High Court who are either former members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) or come from families associated with the RSS. The aim of Modi and Shah is to eventually send such individuals to the Supreme Court and take full control of the judiciary, he said.
