CM Fadnavis mourns demise of Asha Bhosle, Calls it deeply sorrowful moment for Mangeshkar family

Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday paid heartfelt tribute to legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, describing her demise as a deeply sorrowful moment for the Mangeshkar family and the entire music fraternity.
Expressing his grief, Mr Fadnavis said the family had lost another shining star, noting that the passing of the veteran singer, a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan, was extremely painful. He recalled that she had celebrated her 90th birthday with great enthusiasm three years ago and said that with her demise, another luminary from the Mangeshkar household had faded after Lata Mangeshkar. “Today, the beautiful garden of melodies has become desolate,” he remarked.
Highlighting her extraordinary contribution to music, the Chief Minister described Asha Bhosle’s voice as the very soul of melody, calling her a perennial force of creativity and an ocean of emotions. From soulful renditions like 'Tora Man Darpan Kehlaye' to energetic tracks such as 'Khallas', he said she effortlessly traversed diverse musical moods and styles.
