Ashok Kharat brought to Shirdi by police in connection with land grabbing and a fake accounts scam

Nashik, May 5 (UNI) The Shirdi Police has taken the fraudulent godman Ashok Kharat into custody from the Nashik SIT in connection with two cases, of land grabbing and a fake accounts scam.
The cases involve the alleged grabbing of four acres of land belonging to a farmer in Shirdi through illicit moneylending practices, and a scam involving the opening of approximately 100 fake accounts at the Samata Credit Society in Rahata, through which transactions worth crores of rupees were conducted.
With Shirdi Police taking him into custody, it is expected to accelerate the investigation into both these serious cases.
