Rs 50-cr IT park planned on Hotgi Road to boost Solapur’s tech growth

Solapur, Nov 5 (UNI) Solapur district is poised for a major technological transformation, with plans underway to develop a new Information Technology (IT) Park on 50 acres of land along Hotgi Road.
District Collector Kumar Ashirwad said the Rs 50-crore project aims to generate employment for local youth and strengthen Solapur’s presence in Maharashtra’s growing digital economy.
The proposal follows directives from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, with district authorities recently completing land surveys to assess potential sites. After evaluating several locations across Solapur city, officials identified land belonging to the Water Resources Department on Hotgi Road as the most feasible option, citing lower development costs and faster execution potential.
