Modi targets Congress in Ahmednagar

Modi targets Congress in Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar, May 7 (UNI) Prime Minister and BJP's star campaigner, Narendra Modi, on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress over its leader's startling claim that former Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare was not killed by Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab but by a pro-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh police officer during 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Addressing an election rally at Savedi in Ahilyanagar for BJP candidate Sujay Vikhe-Patil from Nagar South and Shiv Sena-Shinde candidate Sadashiv Lokhande from Shirdi, he said that entire world knows that Pakistan has carried out the terror attacks in Mumbai on November 26, 2008, and Pakistan itself has not denied it, but the Congress party, who are guilty of these attacks, are giving certificates of innocence in order to strengthen their vote base and accuse the Congress leaders in Maharashtra of taking side of terrorist Kasab.
While putting the Congress on edge, the Prime Minister asked how much the Congress would stoop down in its appeasement politics.
Claiming that this election is a battle between appeasement and appeasement, he said that the BJP-NDA are trying hard to keep the countrymen satisfied, on other hand, the INDIA bloc has put its might to appease the vote bank.
The Congress party's manifesto is pro-Muslim, he further claimed and said that BJP-NDA has made development, welfare of poor, national security, country's self-respect and prestige as their issues.
The Congress is not ready to talk about any of these issues, he claimed.
In last 50 years, the Congress has betrayed poor by making false promise of eradication of poverty, he charged and claimed that on contrary, his government has given four crore pucca houses, 50 crore Jan Dhan accounts for poor, 80 crore free grain facilities for needy, Rs three lakh crore assistance to farmers from PM Kisan Samman Fund, Rs 1.5 lakh crore from Crop Insurance Scheme.
Accusing the Congress and the INDIA bloc of hatching a very dangerous conspiracy, Modi claimed that if the INDIA bloc comes to power, reservation will be given to Muslims in the country.
This has been clarified by a leader, who was in jail in the case of fodder scam, in front of media today, he said.
This means that reservation for SCs, STs, OBCs, and poor will be removed and given to Muslims, the PM claimed.
Modi also alleged that the Congress was looting the country while farmers and common people were suffering from problems.
He said that from the trends of third phase of polling, it is clear that June four will be the 'expiry date' of the INDIA bloc.
After June four, no one will be found to raise the flag of Indians, he mocked.
