State-level workshop for 500 exemplary teachers held in Sambhajinagar

Ch. Sambhajinagar, Dec 4 (UNI) A one-day state-level workshop for 500 exemplary teachers from across Maharashtra was held on Thursday at Tapadiya Natya Mandir in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The event was held under the state’s ‘Idol Teacher’ initiative, which recognises educators who have demonstrated outstanding performance and prepares them to guide improvements in schools.
School Education Minister Dada Bhuse said the objective of the initiative is to raise the quality of education by using the achievements of these teachers as examples for others, promoting innovation and encouraging positive change across schools. He noted that the selected teachers will carry out improvement activities in their respective institutions and serve as mentors to fellow educators.
In his address, Bhuse highlighted the need to adopt student-focused teaching methods, utilise technology effectively and maintain a future-oriented approach. He announced that the Education Department will soon create a dedicated bank of ideal teachers, schools and institutions. Emphasising the long-term impact of teaching, he urged educators to view every hour spent with students as part of nation-building.
