Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Court Sentences Accused son to Life Imprisonment

Ch. Sambhajinagar, Dec 10 (UNI) Setting a judicial precedent, a local court has sentenced a Professor's son to life imprisonment for the murder of his father even though he was a minor when he committed the crime. The court ruled that the brutality and premeditation involved justified trying him as an adult.
Professor Dr. Rajan Shinde, Head of the English Department at Maulana Azad College in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was killed in October 2021 hours after he and his son had a heated exchange.
According to case details presented during trial, the incident occurred after prolonged tension between the father and son. Evidence submitted before the court indicated that the accused had faced repeated humiliation and verbal abuse, allegedly being subjected to derogatory remarks and public insults. The father and son were reportedly not on speaking terms in the days leading up to the incident, and arguments between them were frequent.
