Maha: Two members of inter-state robbers gang arrested, jewellery worth Rs 86.26 lakh recovered

Kolhapur, Sep 10 (UNI) The Local Crime Branch (LCB) police has arrested two members of inter-state robbery gang and recovered from them gold-silver ornaments, two motorcycles and other materials collectively worth Rs 86.26 lakh.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday evening, district superintendent of police Mahendra Pandit said that acting on a tip-off, an LCB team laid a trap at Murgud town in Kagal tehsil and arrested Vikram Balu Kiturkar alias Raju (31), who came for selling stolen ornaments.
During investigation of the suspect, Vikram told his accomplice's name Mahadev Narayan Dhamankar, both from Halshi in Khanapur tehsil of Belgaum district in Karnataka.
