Financial constraints cause delay in farm loan waivers until June 30, 2026: Bacchu Kadu

Amravati, Nov 2(UNI) Prahar Sanghatana leader and former Maharashtra MLA Bacchu Kadu today called off his “Mahāelgar” protest in Nagpur following assurances from the state government regarding farm loan waivers.
Announcing the decision at a press conference here after a meeting with government representatives at the Sahaydra guest House, Kadu said the authorities were initially not ready to announce a date for loan waivers, citing financial constraints and claimed loan waivers would be provided at the right time.
"There were two moments when we were ready to walk out of the meeting. But ultimately, the government had to yield and the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that a decision on loan waivers would be made before June 30, 2026. The decision will help farmers access fresh loans and ease their mental burden," he said.
