Maha: Rs 400.24 cr crop insurance approved for kharif, rabi season 2023 in Beed: minister

Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde announced on Tuesday that crop insurance worth Rs 400.24 crore has been sanctioned so far in kharif and rabi seasons of 2023-24 in Beed district.
Chairing a joint meeting of the chief officers and officers of Indian Agricultural Insurance Company here, he said that out of that amount, Rs 378.21 crore had been disbursed to the bank accounts of concerned farmers till date.
He expressed his displeasure over rejection of insurance applications of some farmers in the revenue boards of some talukas without giving any reason and directed the crop insurance company to approve these insurance applications and complete the process of distribution of the remaining Rs 22.03 crore by August 31.
