NCP leader Geeta Sushil Hinge killed in road accident on Gadchiroli–Nagpur Highway

Nagpur, Dec 8 (UNI) Geeta Sushil Hinge, women’s wing leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), died in a road accident late Sunday night on the Gadchiroli–Nagpur highway near Pachgav. She was 53, police said.
According to police, Hinge was travelling to Gadchiroli after completing work in Nagpur when a speeding vehicle attempting to overtake rammed into her car from behind around 12:30 am. The impact left her with severe head injuries, resulting in her death on the spot. Her husband, Sushil Hinge, and the driver sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur.
Before joining NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), Hinge had held several key posts in another political party, including district women’s wing secretary and district president. She quit the party following disagreements during municipal elections and later joined the Ajit Pawar-led faction, where she was appointed state vice-president of the women’s wing.
