ECI starts issuing notices to voters who couldn't be mapped in SIR of 2003 in UP

Lucknow, Jan 23 ( UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Navdeep Rinwa on Friday said that under the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SIR)-2026 in the state, after the publication of the draft electoral roll, the process of issuing notices has begun for those voters whose details, as per the enumeration forms, could not be mapped with the voter list of the previous SIR-2003.

30-year-old event manager murdered in Bareilly; friend arrested

Bareilly, Jan 23 (UNI) A 30-year-old event manager was brutally murdered in Bareilly, and police have arrested her close friend in connection with the crime. The deceased has been identified as Pooja Rana, a resident of Durganagar in the Baradari area, police said on Friday.
According to police, the accused, Vimal, allegedly first administered an intoxicant to Pooja and then strangled her to death using a muffler. To avoid suspicion, he buried her body in a field behind KCMT College.
