India begin Women’s T20 World Cup quest against Pakistan

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) Fresh from their historic ODI World Cup triumph last year, India will kick off their ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan in Birmingham on Sunday. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the Women-in-Blue will be aiming to add a maiden T20 World Cup crown to their growing trophy cabinet and begin their title quest on a winning note against a familiar opponent.
The head-to-head record is firmly in India’s favour, with the Indians winning 13 of the 16 T20Is played between the two teams. India also emerged victorious the last time the sides met, registering a six-wicket win during the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup in Dubai.
