Brevis ruled out of Pak ODI series due to shoulder strain

Faisalabad, Nov 4 (UNI) South Africa’s young batting star Dewald Brevis has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Pakistan, starting today, due to a low-grade shoulder muscle strain sustained during the third T20I in Lahore on November 1.
The 22-year-old will remain with the team in Pakistan to undergo rehabilitation ahead of South Africa’s tour of India later this month, which includes two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.
Cricket South Africa is yet to name a replacement for Brevis. His absence further weakens an already depleted ODI squad, with senior players Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada rested, and pacers Kwena Maphaka and Anrich Nortje sidelined due to injuries.
